Application of Low-temperature Anaerobic Digestion to Wastewater Treatment: a Review

Abstract：Low-temperature anaerobic digestion (LTAD),as its great cost-effective advantages in terms of economy,society and environment,is a kind of prospective technology of wastewater treatment,which can recycle organic energy from low temperature wastewater.This paper introduces the principle and application status quo of LTAD technology,and summarizes the challenges and opportunities for the development of LTAD technology,taking into consideration of the development trend of LTAD reactors currently used in industrial wastewater treatment.
