Abstract:Ni-loaded activated silica gel (SG) catalyst was prepared through impregnation-high temperature calcination and further characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM),X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).The catalytic activity of Ni/SG which catalyzed sodium persulfate (PDS) for the experiments of degrading the Acid Orange 7 (AO7) was investigated, and the factors affecting degradation of AO7 were studied, such as impregnation increment of Ni,catalyst dosage and initial concentration of PDS and AO7.The results showed that the main supported substance on the Ni/SG is cubic crystal system structure of NiO.When the initial pH value was 7.0,initial concentration of AO7 was 10 mg/L,the concentration of PDS was 2 mmol/L,the impregnation increment of Ni and dosage of Ni/SG was 4% and 3.0 g,the best catalytic activity of Ni/SG catalyzing PDS in the degradation of AO7 reached 88.9%.
