Abstract:Data collected from two meteorological observatory stations,Yeyahu (YYH) at northwest Beijing and Shangdianzi (SDZ) at northeast Beijing in 2014,were compared and analyzed to study the PM2.5 and O3 concentration and correlated factors in Beijing northern suburbs cleaning area. The results show that annual average PM2.5 and hourly average O3 are similar between two stations, with PM2.5 concentration high in the heavy pollution month such as February,July,October, and low in June and December.O3 concentrations of two stations show low concentration in January, but high concentration in different months, with YYH station appearing in April and SDZ station appearing in July.Average diurnal variations of PM2.5 show two peaks, and O3 show one peak,in all seasons, while the characteristic of two peaks and the city characteristic variation of O3 in YYH station is more significant than SDZ station. The wind direction affect on PM2.5 concentrations more evidently than O3,meanwhile,the pollutant concentrations seemed obviously high when YYH station controlled by northeastern winds and SDZ station with southwest transportation. The finding also suggested that local circulation can cause more PM2.5 accumulation at SDZ station, however, the obvious weather system and the special topographic can cause more PM2.5 accumulation at YYH station.
