Abstract:A system combined nano zero-valent iron (nZVI) and anaerobic microorganisms was used to treat printing and dyeing wastewater, and the influence of nZVI concentration, initial pH,initial X-3B concentration and temperature on the combination system was studied, with individual nZVI treatment and individual anerobic microoganism treatment as the blank contrast.Result shows that the combination of nano zero-valent iron and a EGSB reactor works well in treating printing and dyeing wastewater.X-3B decolorization rate of combination system is higher than individual nZVI fixed bed and individual EGSB reactor. With the increase of the concentration of initial Brilliant Red X-3B,the X-3B decolorization rate of the combination system decreases. The decolorization rate of 98.93% within 48 h is obtained under the appropriate conditions of nZVI dosage for the system 0.5 g/L,pH 6.0 and temperature 30 ℃.
