Abstract:Various experimental parameters were investigated to study the photodegradation of ciprofloxacin in Fe (Ⅲ)/oxalate/H2O2 system. The main factors influencing the process, such as Fe(Ⅲ)-oxalate complexes,pH and H2O2 concentration were examined.Kinetics of degradation processing was also discussed in the experiment. The degradation products of ciprofloxacin were analyzed by UV-VIS,FTIR and GC-MS.The results showed that the degradation of ciprofloxacin was of high-efficient in Fe (Ⅲ)/oxalate/H2O2 system, and the UV-irradiation was required.Molecular structure of ciprofloxacin will be destroyed during the degradation.Ciprofloxacin was more inclined to be photocatalytically degraded at lower pH conditions.Furthermore, reaction rates of ciprofloxacin increased along with the increase of initial concentrations of Fe (Ⅲ),oxalate and H2O2.Dynamics analyses demonstrated that the degradation of ciprofloxacin was obeyed with the pseudo-first-order kinetics, with Fe(Ⅲ) as the predominant influence factor during the treatment.
