Study on the treatment of carbon black-containing wastewater by oil agglomeration

Abstract：The waste water containing carbon black was treated successfully by oil agglomeration process according to the characteristic of hydrophobicity of carbon black.After the treatment,the concentration of carbon black was less than 1.0mg/L in discharged effluent,and the treated wastewater could be reused.The recovered carbon black can be treated by CHCl4,and then be filtrated and dried with the result of water percentage of carbon black less than 1.0%.In the meantime,the recovered oil phase could be reused.
