Abstract:The removing process of H2S smell in the air with polystyrene-based anion ion exchange fiber and active carbon fiber was studied. The static and dynamic adsorptive capacities and the regenerative properties of both fibers to H2S were determined. And the removing mechanism and adsorptive properties for H2S was also discussed. The results showed that, the adsorptive mechanism of the polystyrene-based anion ion exchange fiber to H2S was mainly chemical adsorption, besides physical adsorption.Polystyrene-based ion exchange fiber is a good material for purifying H2S smell from the air.
