Abstract：The continuous flow intermittent aeration process is deve loped through ameliorating the conventio-nal activated sludge process.Lab-scal e experiments were conducted to study the phosphorous and nitrogen removal capacit y of this process.The results of experiments show that the continuous flow inter mittent aeration process is easy to be practised.Stable COD and NH3-N removal efficiencies were realized in experiments.And high nitrogen and phosphorous rem oval efficiencies were also realized under the condition of enough carbon source s.
