Seepage Safety Analysis and Evaluation of Zhongzhuang Reservoir Dam

Abstract：The issue of dam seepage is crucial for the safe operation of reservoirs.Taking the Zhongzhuang Reservoir in Ningxia as an example,this paper comprehensively analyzes the causes of seepage at the end of the downstream seepage cut-off trench at dam stake number 0+780 through on-site inspection,analysis of safety monitoring data,and two-dimensional finite element numerical simulation.Combined with the numerical simulation of the dam body infiltration line and single width seepage flow results,the seepage safety of the Zhongzhuang Reservoir dam operation was determined.This paper provided a scientific basis for the seepage safety assessment of the Zhongzhuang Reservoir dam,and reference for the seepage safety assessment of similar small and medium-sized earth rock dam reservoir projects in China.
