Abstract:The use of remote sensing technology to invert soil moisture data plays an important role in regional drought monitoring. This study utilized Landsat 8 remote sensing image data to construct the feature space of surface temperature(TS)and normalized difference vegetation index(INDV)in Liaocheng, and validated the inversion model using field measured soil moisture data.Research has found that the ITVD obtained from remote sensing image inversion is significantly correlated with the measured soil moisture content in the field(α=0.05).The highest correlation was found between ITVD and soil moisture from 10 to 20 cm(R2=0.576).From October 2020 to April 2021,Liaocheng experienced varying degrees of drought, with a drought area of 64.34%in April 2021.The monitoring results are highly consistent with the actual drought situation in Liaocheng. In summary,ITVD can be used for drought monitoring in Liaocheng.
