Application of High-Density Electrical Method in Leakage Detection of Reservoir Dams
LI Teng
Abstract:The high-density electrical method can effectively detect structural defects such as cracks and voids inside dams. This method enables engineers accurately locate leakages, providing a basis for subsequent repair and maintenance work.Through the analysis of electrical parameters, the severity of leakage was judged, and corresponding control measures were formulated. An electrode array was used to inject current underground, and the resistivity distribution of the subsurface medium was inferred by measuring the surface potential difference.Timely discovery and treatment of leakage problems avoided structural damage caused by long-term leakage, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the dam. This approach reduced unnecessary water resource loss and improved utilization efficiency.Furthermore,it provided experimental data support for the study of dam leakage mechanisms and promoted technical progress in related fields.
