Investigation and Treatment of Engineering Geological Problems in the MixC Section of Wanjin Irrigation District
GUO Shaonan
Abstract:In recent years, frequent urban flooding has caused severe damage to canal sections in urban areas, particularly those adjacent to ongoing construction projects. The urban section of the North Main Canal of the Wanjin Irrigation District in Anyang City suffered water damage, resulting in cavities and cracks at the canal bottom that rendered it inoperable.Additionally, deep foundation pits of an adjacent construction project caused damage to the support structure, posing major safety hazards. The canal urgently required repair and reinforcement, but operations were highly challenging due to site limitations.Comprehensive treatment using grouting reinforcement technology effectively resolved multiple difficulties.Based on a summary and analysis of this project case,it is concluded that grouting reinforcement technology had significant practical value for repairing water-damaged canal sections in urban areas and restoring water-stop curtains for deep foundation pits.
