Foundation Pit Support Scheme of the Pump Station of a Water Supply Project

Abstract：With socio-economic development and the increasing scarcity of urban land resources,engineering construction faces higher demands for rational land use.The support scheme for foundation pit excavation significantly impacts both engineering safety and land utilization efficiency.Against this backdrop,the foundation pit excavation support scheme for the primary pressure pump station in a water supply project was studied.The advantages and disadvantages of common support methods were compared,and problems encountered in excavation support within restricted terrains were analyzed.It was found that using high-pressure rotary jet grouting piles to form a continuous wall for pit enclosure,combined with foundation excavation and replacement and dewatering measures,effectively addressed foundation liquefaction and slope stability issues.This study provides a reference for the construction of pump stations in other water supply projects.
