Joint Operation Scheme Design for Ecological Reservoirs

Abstract：The primary objective of ecological reservoir scheduling is to ensure flood control safety for the reservoir and downstream channels while ensuring water quality compliance in the main reservoir inflow.The regulation capacity is utilized to secure ecological water replenishment during non-flood seasons and to realize landscape functions where conditions permit.Given that the downstream channel regulation of Tiegang Reservoir is incomplete and flow capacities are insufficient at bottleneck sections—such as the flood discharge channel at Gushu Metro Station,the Nancheng Bridge on Xixiang River,and the diversion channel at Chaoshan Expo Park on Xixiang Avenue—the design must fully consider the channel's discharge capacity.Drainage on sunny days should not exceed the warning water level at key sections,and drainage on rainy days should not exceed the guaranteed water level.When the Xixiang River bottleneck approaches the warning level,flood diversion through the Tiegang Reservoir flood discharge channel should be actively implemented.
