Exploration and Practice of Upgrading and Digitizing Grassroots Hydrological Monitoring

Abstract：Hydrology is a vital support for national water security and high-quality socio-economic development.Accelerating the construction of a smart hydrological system that integrates data and intelligence is an inevitable choice for implementing major national strategies.Focusing on the digital and intelligent transformation of hydrological monitoring,and taking the upgrade of the Gengliyang Station(Sinvsi Yellow River Diversion Hydrological Station)as the background,the necessity of digital construction was elaborated and the needs for upgrading grassroots monitoring stations were analyzed in this paper.The ideas and measures for such upgrades were explored,the exploration practices during the digital construction process were deeply analyzed,and the achievements and experiences were summarized.This study provides a reference example for upgrading grassroots hydrological monitoring,aiming to enhance monitoring and forecasting capabilities,better serve basin flood defense and water resource management,and provide a more solid water security guarantee for high-quality socio-economic development.
