Abstract:Embankment alignment is the most critical link in flood control engineering design, and its rationality is crucial for project cost and construction.Traditional design approaches involve manually delineating flood inundation areas by combining water surface profiles with topographic maps, which suffer from poor flexibility, low accuracy, and low efficiency.Taking the embankment layout of the Tanghe River Regulation Project as a case study,a method using small-scale airborne LiDAR point cloud data to calibrate open-source large-scale DEMs to generate high-precision DEM data was introduced. The calibrated large-scale DEM and water level models served as inputs for the inundation model to generate flood extents under design flood conditions. This approach provides data support for the accuracy, systematicity, and feasibility of embankment layout while improving work efficiency.
