Abstract:The third-generation new Continuous Wound Fiberglass Pipe with Sand Inclusion(hereinafter referred to as CWFP pipe)is currently rarely used in irrigation projects, particularly in large-diameter series within southern hilly areas.Based on the Meijiang Irrigation District Project in Jiangxi Province, the performance and characteristics of this new process pipe under extreme conditions were verifies in this application test. The study focused on its adaptability to complex terrain and geological conditions in southern hilly areas, deformation characteristics of large-diameter CWFP pipes under conventional large burial depths(2~4 m),joint sealing performance under limit conditions, and standardized construction and acceptance in complex environments. The reliability of the third-generation CWFP pipe under complex application conditions was confirmed, meeting relevant specifications and standards.Suggestions for the promotion and implementation of this new pipe material were proposed.
