Project Management Mode of EPC Consortium Led by Design Units

Abstract：Through the review and research of the construction management process of an EPC consortium project during the preparatory period of a pumped storage power station in Zhejiang Province,it was shown that the EPC consortium model led by a design institute could fully leverage the technical leadership advantages of the design unit and the construction organization capabilities of the construction unit.This model more effectively promoted the realization of goals related to project investment,progress,safety,quality,and land acquisition.Although this EPC consortium model had obvious management advantages,certain deficiencies remained.This paper aims to provide experience for the continuous development and improvement of this project management model through exploration,offering a reference for the construction of similar projects in China.
