Optimization Allocation of Water Resources Based on Integrated Urban-Rural Water Supply in Huailai County

Abstract：Optimal allocation of water resources is a core task for resolving water shortages and achieving sustainable utilization,with the integration of urban and rural water supply being an inevitable pathway to this goal.Taking Huailai County in Hebei Province as the study area,the current status and existing problems of urban and rural water supply were analyzed.Following the principles of fairness,efficiency,and sustainability,and combining the approaches of unified planning,resource integration,and enhanced management under urban-rural integration,the water supply and demand situation in Huailai County was predicted to clarify future gaps.Subsequently,an optimal water resource allocation scheme for the planning horizon was proposed.The results provide a scientific basis for water resource management in Huailai County and offer valuable references for similar regions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area and other water-scarce parts of northern China.
