Implementation of Flood Control Facility Restoration Projects:Issues and Suggestions

Abstract：Reservoir projects,as crucial national infrastructure("great power"),have played an enormous role in flood interception,peak reduction,and disaster mitigation over the years.However,the advanced age of these structures and prominent safety hazards are key and difficult problems facing some reservoir projects in China.Accelerating the implementation of flood control facility restoration projects,eliminating safety hazards,and ensuring the safe operation and full realization of benefits are priority tasks for reservoir operation and management.Taking the 2022 and 2023 flood control facility restoration projects at Yuecheng Reservoir as examples,the problems encountered during implementation were analyzed and the opinions and suggestions for improvement were proposed in this paper.It provides a reference for the application,construction management,supervision,and auditing of flood control facility restoration projects.
