Abstract:The design of access traffic for a reservoir power station encountered two complex engineering challenges:adverse geological conditions and flood discharge atomization.Conducting research and argumentation on the scheme is of great significance to project progress, safety, and investment.Based on the analysis of topographical and geological conditions, combined with the superimposed analysis of flood discharge atomization rainfall intensity contour maps,it was found that adopting an underground tunnel approach could not avoid the T1m2-2 adverse stratum, which has extremely poor tunneling conditions and cavern stability, posing high safety risks. On the other hand, adopting a surface approach could not avoid the heavy rainfall zone caused by flood discharge atomization, creating significant safety hazards during flood discharge.Strengthened support measures were applied to both schemes, and a technical comparative analysis was conducted.Ultimately, the"underground scheme"was recommended, providing theoretical support for the construction of the project and offering valuable references for similar projects.
