Abstract:The Sanjiadian River Sluice is the first major control structure connecting the Guanting Mountain Gorge and the plains section of the Yongding River. It plays a significant role in flood control and water supply regulation. From July 29 to August 2,2023,an extraordinary flood occurred in the Yongding River Basin. As an integral part of the Yongding River flood control system, the Sanjiadian River Sluice implemented its largest discharge process since its completion in 1957,with a maximum discharge flow of 3,500 m3/s.This study analyzed and compared the structural safety monitoring data before and after the"23·7"flood event at the Sanjiadian River Sluice. The analysis revealed that changes in horizontal displacement, vertical displacement, and other monitored parameters were consistent with historical trends and met regulatory requirements.Based on these findings, the safety of the Sanjiadian River Sluice was further discussed, and recommendations for its safe operation were proposed.
