Abstract:Based on data regarding flood disaster-affected areas,disaster-stricken areas, and crop-sown areas from 1990 to 2019,the information diffusion model was applied to study the flood risk and spatial patterns in Binzhou City and its counties. The results showed that:①In Binzhou City, flood risks with disaster-affected area indices of≥5%,≥10%,≥15%,and≥20%corresponded to medium or high-risk levels. For disaster-stricken area indices of≥5%,≥10%,≥15%,and≥20%,the flood risk levels were all medium. The affected(or stricken)area indices generally did not exceed 70%or 50%.②There were significant regional differences in flood risks. The flood risk levels in the counties of the Haihe River Basin in the north were much higher than those in the counties of the Xiaoqing River Basin in the south.Within the same basin, the risk in downstream areas was higher than in upstream areas. These findings provide decision-making references for flood prevention and mitigation in Binzhou City.
