Abstract:To effectively forecast storm flood processes, issue timely warnings, and reduce disaster losses, constructing a high-precision watershed rainfall-runoff model is essential.Taking the New River Basin in Arizona,USA,as the study area,a watershed rainfall-runoff model based on PCSWMM(Personal Computer Storm Water Management Model)was developed.Five typical rainfall and runoff events from 1990 to 1993 were selected as the research data.Using the PCSWMM SRTC(Sensitivity-based Radio Tuning Calibration)tool, sensitivity analyses were conducted on ten parameters, followed by calibration and validation. The results showed that the most sensitive parameters for runoff simulations targeting total runoff volume and peak runoff were imperviousness ratio and impervious depression storage, respectively. The PCSWMM SRTC calibration method effectively identified suitable parameter sets, with the Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency(ENS)coefficient and the coefficient of determination averaging above 0.84 in model validation. These findings provide valuable references for watershed rainfall-runoff modeling.
