Abstract:With increasing national emphasis on water conservation, the implementation of contract-based water conservation management has been recognized as a crucial approach to water efficiency in universities.Taking Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a case study, the concept of contract-based water conservation management, its primary models, and its advantages and challenges in practical application are thoroughly examined.By analyzing the current status of water resource management, key existing issues are identified, and a"contract-based co-management model"is proposed, emphasizing school-enterprise cooperation and resource sharing to achieve mutual benefits. Finally, targeted recommendations are provided based on specific implementation pathways, aiming to promote high-quality development in universities and contribute to the construction of water-saving campuses.
