Development and Layout of the Haihe River Mainstream Waterfront Complex

Abstract：In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization and earnestly practice the development philosophy of"Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,"it is essential to strengthen the ecological foundation of new-quality productive forces,explore pathways for realizing the value of ecological products,and transform water conservancy"resources"into"assets."Based on the ecological resources,industrial foundations,and distinctive advantages of the Haihe River—the mother river of Tianjin—and its surrounding reservoirs and wetlands,this study proposes development concepts,layouts,and directions for a waterfront complex along the mainstream of the Haihe River.These proposals focus on flood control safety,ecological restoration,landscape enhancement,and tourism and leisure.The research findings can provide a reference for promoting high-quality water conservancy development practices in the Haihe River Basin and its surrounding regions in the future.
