Comprehensive Management of Riverbank Space in the Core Areas of Beijing City

Abstract：The rivers and lakes in the core area of Beijing are important carriers for water supply,drainage,and flood regulation in the urban water system,and are also important landscape water bodies in Beijing.With the continuous increase in citizens′ attention to riverside roads and landscapes,the demand for waterfront areas continues to grow.It is necessary to improve the waterfront spaces,achieve openness and sharing,and adopt appropriate governance projects.Selecting the riverfront space opening and upgrading project in the urban core area as the research object,and through the analysis of the necessity,content,and results of the project implementation,the comprehensive management approach and measures for waterfront space opening were proposed,emphasizing initial pedestrian pathway connectivity solution and subsequent implements landscape improvement.This provides a basis for the management of waterfront space opening in the urban core area river channels.
