Research on the Biodiversity of Yuqiao Reservoir Based on the Aquatic Organisms

Abstract：Yuqiao Reservoir is one of the drinking water sources of Tianjin and the important regulating reservoir of Luanhe-Tianjin Diversion Project.To reveal the aquatic ecological health of Yuqiao Reservoir,9 sampling sites were arranged to explore the composition characteristics and biodiversity of phytoplankton,zooplankton and zoobenthos.On this basis,the aquatic ecological health was evaluated.In this study,a total of 95 species of phytoplankton,30 species of zooplankton,and 31 species of zoobenthos were detected.Chlorophyta accounted for the highest proportion of phytoplankton,and dominant populations were Anabaena oscillarioides and Pseudanabaena sp.Among the zooplankton,Rotifer accounted for the highest proportion,and dominant populations were Polyarthra trigla and Brachionus angularis.Among the zoobenthos,Arthropoda accounted for the highest proportion,and dominant populations were Limnodrilus hoffmeisteri and Branchiura sowerbyi.Overall,the Shannon-Weiner index of phytoplankton was higher than zooplankton and zoobenthos.Based on the analysis of Shannon-Weiner index,Yuqiao Reservoir was in light to medium pollution.The assessment of biodiversity of Yuqiao Reservoir can provide a theoretical reference for water ecological healty management of the Yuqiao Reservoir.
