Research on the Main Problems in the Design of Geba Arch Dam Reinforcement

Abstract：Through the detailed analysis on the stress state of combine face of the old and new dam body,the stress state of the old dam body should satisfy the control standard requirements in every condition. Combine face of the new and old dam body can be combined tightly to form a joint force of the whole.Through comparative analysis of reinforcement schemes on the two different construction conditions,one of the normal storage level and the other of dead water level,it is selected of a more reasonable condition under the design and construction constraints. Finally it decided the better construction condi-tion and the dead water level as the control water level during the construction period according to analysis results.
