Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of comforting interventions under situational simulation education during gastrointestinal endoscopy. Methods From May 2022 to May 2024,128 patients examined with gastrointestinal endoscopy were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the study group, with 64 cases per group.Conventional interventions were given to all patients, and comforting interventions under situational simulation education were additionally performed in the study group.Vital signs, the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Global Congenital Quotient(GCQ),and Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores, physiological stress levels, quality of interventions and satisfaction rate were compared between groups. Results After the intervention, patients in the study group had significantly better vital signs, lower SAS,SDS and VAS scores, physiological stress levels and incidence of adverse events, but higher MMSE and Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)scores, health knowledge mastery level, compliance score, and overall satisfaction than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Comforting interventions under situational simulation education during gastrointestinal endoscopy effectively alleviate negative emotion, maintain vital signs, reduce adverse events and improve the satisfaction.
