A survey on the anxiety,depression and insomnia of adult residents with chronic diseases in Hebei Province

Abstract：Objective To understand the current situation of anxiety,depression and insomnia among adult residents with chronic diseases in Hebei Province,and to analyze the risk factors affecting the current situation.Methods Using the data of main indicators in the 2021 Hebei Province Resident Mental Health Promotion Action,a total of 1,717 residents aged 18 years and above with chronic diseases were selected as the research objects.The Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale,the Patient Health Questionnaire 9-item scale,and the Insomnia Severity Index were used to evaluate the anxiety,depression,and insomnia,respectively.Chi-square test was used for difference analysis,and logistic regression analysis was used for analyzing influencing factors.Results Among the 1,717 respondents,120(7.0%)suffered from anxiety,170(9.9%)suffered from depression,and 506(29.5%)suffered from insomnia.Logistic regression analysis showed that the age and marital status were influencing factors for chronic diseases combined with anxiety(P<0.05).Age,marital status,occupation,and drinking were influencing factors for chronic diseases combined with depression(P<0.05).Marital status,occupation,drinking,gender,and number of chronic diseases were influencing factors for chronic diseases combined with insomnia(P<0.05).Younger patients were prone to anxiety and depression;unmarried patients were prone to anxiety,depression and insomnia;non-farmers and drinkers were prone to depression and insomnia;and females and patients with multiple chronic diseases were prone to insomnia.Conclusion The residents with chronic diseases in Hebei Province who have anxiety,depression and insomnia are very common.More attention should be paid to key populations such as younger age,unmarried,non-farmers,alcoholics,women,and those with multiple chronic diseases.
