Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of taste stimulation combined with 5min oral exercise intervention on oral feeding in premature infants. Methods Totally 88 premature infants admitted from December 2021 to December 2023 were recruited.According to the different intervention methods, they were divided into the conventional group(n=42)and the combined group(n=46).All patients received routine intervention+taste stimulation intervention, and those in the combined group were additionally oral exercise intervention for 5 min oral exercise intervention. The feeding process, performance, outcome, nutritional status, immune function, the Preterm Infant Oral Feeding Readiness Assessment(PIOFRA)scale, behavioral nerve, oral motor function, intelligence development and family satisfaction were included as comparisons. Results After intervention, the both groups presented significantly higher ability to maintain physiological stability during feeding,albumin(ALB),pre-feeding status of preterm infants, efficiency at initiation of oral feeding, swallowing ability, prealbumin(PA),general assessment, active muscle tone, oral motor function score, efficiency at total oral feeding, psychomotor development index(PDI),primitive reflex, mental development index(MDI),transferrin(TRF),behavioral ability, effect at initial oral feeding, passive muscle tone,CD3+,weight at total oral feeding,CD4+,effect at total oral feeding, sucking ability, lower CD8+,disorder,transition time to total oral feeding, dysfunction than those before intervention(P<0.05).The combination group presented significantly higher ALB,passive muscle tone,PA,oral motor function score,TRF,general assessment, efficiency at initiation of oral feeding,PDI,effect at initial oral feeding, sucking ability, efficiency at total oral feeding, active muscle tone, body weight during complete oral feeding, ability to maintain physiological stability during feeding, effect at total oral feeding, total satisfaction, preterm birth status, primitive reflex, swallowing ability,MDI,CD3+,behavioral ability,CD4+,and lower disorders,CD8+,dysfunction,transition time to total oral feeding compared to those of the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Taste stimulation combined with 5 min oral exercise intervention can promote oral feeding in premature infants as soon as possible, and it improves nutritional state, behavioral nerve, oral motor function, intelligent development, immune function, family satisfaction in the patients.
