Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of refined management of psychological rehabilitation on the psychological capital of post-stroke older adults with severe disability in medical and nursing institutions. Methods A total of 31 eligible post-stroke older adults with severe disability who received convalescent treatment in medical and nursing institutions in September 2024 were selected.A self-controlled case series method was adopted. The refined management plan of psychological rehabilitation using psychodynamic therapy and acupoint massage was performed. Before the intervention and 1 month and 3 months after the intervention, the psychological capital status of post-stroke older adults with severe disability was evaluated using the Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire(PPQ),the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC),the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS).Results One month after the intervention, the grading score of the psychological capital status of post-stroke older adults with severe disability was similar to pre-intervention values(P>0.05).After 3 months of intervention, the PPQ and CD-RISC scores significantly increased, while the SAS and SDS scores significantly decreased compared with those before the intervention and 1 month after the intervention(P<0.01).Conclusion Refined management of psychological rehabilitation is conducive to improving the psychological capital level of post-stroke older adults with severe disability in medical and nursing institutions.
