Abstract:Objective This study aims to quantitatively assess the impact of the depth of the myocardial bridge(MB)over the left anterior descending coronary artery on fractional flow reserve derived from computed tomography(FFRCT),and to explore its clinical value. Methods A total of 114 patients with MB in the left anterior descending artery who underwent coronary computed tomography angiography(CTA)from January 2019 to June 2022 were retrospectively selected.Patients were classified into the superficial group(74 cases)and deep group(40 cases)based on MB depth.Clinical data, artificial intelligence(AI)-measured FFRCT values, and anatomical characteristics were compared. The relationship between MB anatomy and abnormal FFRCT values was analyzed. Results The deep group exhibited longer MB lengths and closer positions, alongside greater contraction indices, and stenosis rates of MB in systolic period and diastolic period(P<0.05).In the superficial group with abnormal FFRCT values, bridges were longer, positioned closer, and had higher contraction indices(P<0.05).Conclusion The superficial group and deep group of MB exhibit anatomical differences. The length, position, and muscle contraction index of superficial MB are correlated with abnormal FFRCT values.
