Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of rapid rehabilitation concept on postoperative pain and knee function following total knee replacement. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with total knee replacement who received intervention treatment from April 2022 to April 2024 were enrolled and were divided into the control group(conventional nursing mode)and observation group(rapid rehabilitation concept)by a random number table, with 60 cases/group.The baseline index,Visual Analog Pain Score(VAS),Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Score(HSS score),quality of life, nursing satisfaction and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The length of hospital stay, intraoperative blood loss, and time to get out of bed in the observation group were significantly superior to the control group(P<0.05),but the operation time was no significant inter-group difference(P>0.05).Before nursing, there was no significant inter-group difference in VAS(P>0.05)and HSS scores(P>0.05).The 1-month and 3-month VAS scores(P<0.05)of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and HSS scores(P<0.05)were significantly higher than those of the control group. Before nursing, there was no significant inter-group difference in quality of life scores including vitality, emotional function, mental health and physiological function(P>0.05).After nursing, the quality of life scores of the observation group were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(98.33%vs 85.00%,P<0.05).The total incidence of complications of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(1.67%vs 13.33%,P<0.05).Conclusion Rapid rehabilitation concept can significantly improve the postoperative pain, knee function and quality of life of patients with total knee arthroplasty, improve patient satisfaction and reduce the incidence of complications by optimizing pain management, sleep management, anticoagulation management, perioperative nutrition support, early rehabilitation exercise, psychological support and complication prevention.
