Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and prognosis of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)treated with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)combined with radiofrequency ablation(RFA)versus TACE alone. Methods Ninety-three patients with advanced HCC from January 2019 to September 2021 in our hospital were selected as the observation objects. They were randomly divided into the observation group(treated with TACE combined with RFA)and control group(treated with TACE).Clinical data were compared and influencing factors for the prognosis were analyzed. Results Compared with that of the control group, the survival time in the observation group was significantly extended(median overall survival[MOS]:19 months,95%CI[17.78,20.22]vs 5 months,95%CI[4.02,5.98],P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the occurrence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).One month postoperative recovery, preoperative cytokines(interferon-γ[IFN-γ],tumour necrosis factor alpha[TNF-α])and postoperative cytokines(albumin[ALB],total bilirubin[TBIL],interleukin-2[IL-2],IL-6,IL-10,IFN-γ,TNF-α)were significant risk factors affecting the survival time of HCC(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with advanced liver cancer have a longer survival time after a combination therapy of TACE and RFA by killing more tumor cells, promoting anti-tumor immune and inflammatory responses, and controlling tumor progression.
