Effects of proton pump inhibitors combined with acupoint embedding therapy embedding for treating chronic non-atrophic gastritis and its influences on gastrointestinal function,PG Ⅰ,PG Ⅱ,G17 and quality of life

Abstract：Objective To study the effects of proton pump inhibitors(PPIs)combined with acupoint embedding therapy for treating chronic non-atrophic gastritis(CNAG)and its influences on gastrointestinal function,PG Ⅰ,PG Ⅱ,G17 and quality of life.Methods A total of 120 CNAG patients diagnosed and treated from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected as observation subjects.Patients were divided into the observation group(n=60)and control group(n=60)by random number table method.Patients in both groups were treated with the PPI drug omeprazole,and those in the observation group were additionally given acupoint embedding therapy.The gastrointestinal function indicators,serum pepsinogen(PG)Ⅰ,PG Ⅱ,gastrin-17(G-17)levels,emotional indicators,and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Results The gastric emptying rate and gastric antral contraction frequency in the two groups were significantly elevated after treatment,which were significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(P＜0.05).The gastric emptying time of the two groups after treatment was significantly shortened than the pre-treatment value,which was significantly shorter in the observation group than the control group(P＜0.05).The levels of PG Ⅰ and G17 in the two groups were significantly elevated after treatment,which were significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(P＜0.05).PG Ⅱ level in the two groups was significantly reduced after treatment,which was significantly lower in the observation group than the control group(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)scores before treatment between the two groups(P＞0.05).The SAS and SDS in the two groups were significantly reduced after treatment,which were significantly lower in the observation group than the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the quality of life scores of the two groups were significantly elevated,which were significantly higher in the observation group than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion PPI combined with acupoint embedding therapy can better improve the gastrointestinal function and gastric secretion status of CNAG patients,optimize their emotional state,and improve their quality of life.The effect is good and worthy of clinical application.
