Application of rehabilitation management program based on symptom management and family function in patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of rehabilitation management program based on symptom management and family function in patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy.Methods A total of 85 patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy in our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were recruited and divided into the control group(n=42,routine nursing intervention)and the observation group(n=43,symptom management-based rehabilitation management+family function)according to different intervention methods.Fatigue,cough severity,family adaptability,family cohesion,and family quality of life were compared between the two groups at admission and after 3 cycles of chemotherapy.Digestive tract response and family function were assessed between groups after 3 cycles of chemotherapy.Results After 3 cycles of chemotherapy,fatigue,cough and digestive tract reaction in the observation group were significantly lighter than those of the control group,and family intimacy,adaptability,family function and quality of life were better than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The rehabilitation management program based on symptom management and family function can improve the symptoms of patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy,improve the family function,increase family adaptability and family cohesion,reduce the negative emotions of patients,and improve the quality of life,which is worthy of further promotion and application in clinical practice.
