Abstract:Objective To explore the effectiveness of postoperative analgesia in knee arthroscopy patients treated with empowerment intervention combined with ice packs. Methods A total of 100 patients who underwent knee arthroscopy from April 2023 to April 2024 were selected and randomly divided into the control group(n=50,conventional nursing care)and observation group(n=50,empowerment intervention combined with ice packs)using a random number table. The degree of pain,self-efficacy,treatment adherence,self-care ability, and joint recovery were compared. Results After the nursing, patients in the observation group graded significantly lower Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score, but higher General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)score than the control group(P<0.05).Patients in the observation group had significantly higher treatment compliance, and scores of each dimensions in the Exercise of Self-care Agency(ESCA)than the control group(P<0.05).Significantly higher Lysholm Knee Scoring Scale score, greater range of motion(ROM),and lower postoperative limb swelling score were observed in the observation group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of empowerment intervention combined with ice packs in the nursing care of patients undergoing knee arthroscopy can significantly alleviate postoperative pain, enhance self-efficacy and adherence, improve self-care ability, and promote the process of joint function rehabilitation, thus obtaining a more desirable effectiveness of nursing interventions.
