Application of the combination of information empowerment intervention and pre-hospitalization service in the day management of patients with perianal day surgery

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of information empowerment intervention combined with pre-hospitalization service in the management of patients with perianal day surgery.Methods A total of 82 patients with perianal day surgery in our hospital from May 2022 to March 2024 were recruited,and they were divided into a control group(routine nursing management,n=41)and a study group(information empowerment intervention+pre-hospitalization services,n=41)referred to the random number table method.The effects of nursing management were compared between the two groups.Results There were statistically significant differences in the pre-operative health knowledge([15.19±1.15]points vs[14.12±1.88]points),the surgery-related knowledge([15.58±2.11]points vs[14.25±2.12]points),the total score of health awareness([48.10±4.22]points vs[45.06±4.15]points),the implementation rate of grading nursing(100.00％vs 85.37％),the awareness rate of nurse-to-patient(97.56％vs 80.49％),as well as the qualified rate of drug use and safety management(100.00％vs 85.37％)between the study group and the control group(all P＜0.05).The significant lower temporary cancellation rate of surgery(0.00％vs 14.63％)and higher nursing satisfaction score([27.88±2.45]points vs[23.25±4.12]points)were found in the study group compared to the control group(all P＜0.05).The wound healing time([9.22±2.15]d vs[15.12±4.13]d),the first walking time([4.55±1.32]d vs[7.82±2.15]d),the first urination time([5.13±1.25]h vs[8.44±2.68]h)and the first defecation time([2.84±0.88]d vs[3.68±0.52]d)in the study group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(all P＜0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(4.88％vs 19.51％,P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of information empowerment intervention and pre-hospitalization service has a good application effect in the management of patients with perianal day surgery,which can effectively promote the postoperative recovery of patients and improve their satisfaction buring hospitalization.
