Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of dynamic blood glucose monitoring combined with individualized intervention in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 126 elderly patients with T2DM admitted from July 2020 to July 2023 were randomly divided into 2 groups with 63 cases each.Patients in the control group received routine treatment and intervention, and those in the observation group received dynamic blood glucose monitoring combined with individualized intervention.Blood glucose, blood glucose fluctuation and self-management score were compared between the two groups. Results The fasting blood glucose,2-h postprandial blood glucose, and glycosylated hemoglobin in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The overall blood sugar level and average blood sugar fluctuation range were significantly lower in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).Self-management scores, including exercise management, meal management, blood sugar monitoring, medication compliance, and foot care, were significantly higher in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the score of the quality of life between groups(P>0.05),which was significantly higher in the observation group after the intervention than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Dynamic blood glucose monitoring combined with individualized intervention has an obvious outcome in elderly patients with T2DM,showing a nearly normal blood sugar, and improved self-management ability. It can be referred and promoted in clinical practice.
