Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of endoscopic instrument pretreatment on residual protein contaminants on the surface of the instruments. Methods A total of 324 laparoscopic surgical instruments in the Operating Room of Beijing Luhe Hospital,Capital Medical University from January 2023 to December 2023 were selected as the objects of this study. They were divided into the control group(n=162)and study group(n=162)according to different pretreatment methods.Manual cleaning combined with spraying multi-enzyme cleaning solution for soaking and moisturizing treatment was performed in the control group, and manual cleaning combined with spraying foam multi-enzyme moisturizing agent for moisturizing treatment was conducted in the study group. The qualification rate of laparoscopic surgical instruments cleaning, single instrument cleaning time, total instrument pretreatment time, residual protein on the surface of instruments, and residual occult blood on the instruments were compared between groups. Results There was no significant difference in the visual inspection pass rate between groups(P>0.05),but the magnifying glass-assisted inspection pass rate in the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The cleaning time and the total pretreatment time of laparoscopic surgical instruments in the study group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).The protein residue rates of forceps teeth, axial junction, lumen and surface of laparoscopic surgical instruments in the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The residual rates of laparoscopic instrument forceps teeth, axial junction, lumen and surface occult blood in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The pretreatment of laparoscopic surgical instruments by manual cleaning combined with spraying foam multi-enzyme moisturizing agent has ideal cleaning qualification rate and shorter cleaning treatment time, which can effectively reduce the influence of residual proteins and other pollutants on the surface of instruments and promote the cleaning quality. This mode has high clinical application value.
