Abstract:Objective To analyze the efficacy of health education by a cloud follow-up platform on home peritoneal dialysis patients. Methods A total of 94 home peritoneal dialysis patients between February 2020 and August 2023 were divided into the control and observation groups.Routine interventions were conducted in both groups, and health education by a cloud follow-up platform was additionally given to the observation group.Nutritional status, mental status,self-efficacy,quality of life, and complications were compared. Results After treatment, the serum albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA),hemoglobin(HGB)and transferrin(TRF)were significantly higher in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).The anxiety and depression scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The treatment attitude, treatment behavior, treatment knowledge and compliance scores of the observation group during dialysis were all significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The physical health, mental health and total scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).During the treatment process, the case number of complications was significantly less in the observation group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For those on home peritoneal dialysis, educational intervention based on a cloud follow-up platform can significantly improve nutritional status and patient self-efficacy,which should be encouraged.
