Abstract:Objective To analyze the effects of low-frequency electrical stimulation combined with music therapy on the delivery process, and psychological status of pregnant and postpartum women, and maternal and infant outcomes. Methods A total of 108 pregnant and postpartum women admitted from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected. They were randomly divided into the control group(routine interventions)and study group(music therapy combined with low-frequency electrical stimulation pain relievers plus routine interventions)using a random number table method, with 54 cases per group. The labor process duration, psychological status, sleep quality, pain factors, and maternal and infant outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The first, second, third, and total labor process duration in the study group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).After interventions, the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale(HAMA),Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD),and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)were significantly lower in the study group than those of the control group(P<0.05).After interventions, there were significantly lower prostaglandin E2(PGE2)and substance P(SP),but higher 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)and dynorphin(DYN)in the study group than those of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes in the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(3.70%vs 14.81%,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of music therapy combined with low-frequency electrical stimulation intervention in pregnant and postpartum women can shorten the delivery time, promote psychological improvement, alleviate pain in pregnant and postpartum women, and improve maternal and infant outcomes.
