Abstract:Objective To analyze the effects of health education based on the knowledge-attitude-belief-practice(KAP)model on the self-efficacy,coping style, medication compliance and heart function of patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods Convenience sampling method was used to select 120 patients with acute ST elevation myocardial infarction(ASTEMI)who received percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)from January 2022 to June 2024.They were randomly divided into the control group(n=60,conventional health education)and study group(n=60,KAP-based health education)using the computer random number table method. The self-efficacy,coping style, medication compliance and cardiac function were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)score was significantly higher in the study group than the control group([28.93±3.71]points vs[24.76±3.65]points,P<0.05).The Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ)score was significantly higher in the study group than the control group(P<0.05).The medication compliance was significantly higher in the study group than the control group(96.67%[58/60]vs 85.00%[51/60],P<0.05).The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)were significantly shorter, while the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)was significantly higher in the study group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The KAP-based health education improves self-efficacy,coping style, medication compliance and cardiac function in ASTEMI patients receiving PCI.
