Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and stone clearance rate of B-ultrasound-guided minimally invasive percutaneous nephrostomy(MPCNL)on the treatment of complex renal calculi. Methods The clinical data of 46 patients with complex renal calculi who visited our urology department from 2021 to 2023 were collected. The patients were divided into a control group(n=22,open surgery)and an observation group(n=22,B-ultrasound-guided MPCNL)based on differences in treatment methods.Surgical-related indicators, stone clearance rate, and renal function were compared between groups. Results The operation time(t=2.210,P=0.032),exhaust time(t=7.852,P=0.047),length of stay(t=2.595,P=0.000)and off-bed activity time(t=3.100,P=0.003)in the observation group were significantly shorter than the control group. The incidence of hematuria, fever and infection in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The sexual life satisfaction(t=5.330,P=0.000)and sexual function quality score(t=2.090,P=0.042)were significantly higher in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with open surgery,B-ultrasound-guided MPCNL is a more ideal to treat complex renal calculi, with shorter operation time, reduced intraoperative blood loss, minimal impact on renal function, and better outcomes. It is worth considering as a treatment option.
