Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of serum interferon-induced transmembrane 27(IFI27)combined with creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB)on the assessment of pediatric viral pneumonia. Methods Totally,118 cases of pediatric viral pneumonia treated from May 2022 to May 2023 were collected.Based on the disease severity, they were divided into mild group(66 cases)and severe group(52 cases). The clinical data, such as gender, age, and body mass index(BMI)were collected.Lung function indicators were also measured.Serum IFI27 and CK-MB were detected by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and enzymatic kinetic method, respectively, and their clinical value in assessing the disease severity of pediatric viral pneumonia was assessed by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve. The correlation between serum IFI27,CK-MB with the severity of the disease was analyzed. Results There were no significant differences in the general data, such as gender, age, and BMI between the two groups(P>0.05).White blood cell count(WBC),platelet count(PLT),C-reactive protein(CRP),and serum CK-MB,and IFI27 in the severe group were significantly higher than those of the mild group, while the predicted value of forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1pred)and the ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second to the forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)were significantly lower(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of serum IF127 and CK-MB in predicting the severity of pediatric viral pneumonia was 0.853 and 0.822,respectively,showing no significant difference(Z=0.152,P>0.05).The AUC of serum IFI27 combined with CK-MB in predicting the severity of pediatric viral pneumonia was 0.896,which was significantly higher than that of a single detection(Z=2.078,and 2.476,respectively;P<0.05).The severity of pediatric viral pneumonia was significantly positively correlated with serum IFI27 and CK-MB(r=0.944,and 0.898,respectively;P<0.05).Conclusion Serum IFI27 and CK-MB significantly increase in children with viral pneumonia, which are closely related to the disease severity, and can be used as clinical indicators for evaluating the condition.
