Effect of positive suggestions combined with vestibular rehabilitation training on vestibular function in patients with sudden deafness with vertigo

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of positive suggestions combined with vestibular rehabilitation training on vestibular function in patients with sudden deafness and vertigo.Methods A total of 90 patients with sudden deafness and vertigo from January 2022 to January 2024 were randomly divided into control group(vestibular rehabilitation training,45 cases)and treatment group(positive suggestions combined with vestibular rehabilitation training,45 cases).The auditory threshold was determined.The vestibular function was assessed using the vertigo scale.Adrenaline(E),norepinephrine(NE),and cortisol(Cor)levels were measured.The sleep quality before and after intervention was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).The quality of life was assessed using the World Health Organization Quality of Life BREF(WHOQoL-BREF),and the treatment satisfaction was evaluated.Results Compared with the control group,the levels of auditory valve,scores of the emotion,body,and function,E,NE and Cor levels,and PSQI scores after treatment were significantly lower in the treatment group(P＜0.05).The psychological,physiological,environment and social scores were significantly higher in the treatment group(P＜0.05).The total treatment satisfaction was significantly higher in the treatment group than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Positive suggestions combined with vestibular rehabilitation training on vestibular function can significantly improve the hearing loss in patients with sudden deafness and vertigo,reduce the psychological stress state,improve sleep quality and the quality of life.
