Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of behavioral change model-oriented dietary nursing in patients after esophagogastric varices ligation(EVL).Methods Eighty patients after EVL in the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and intervention group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases per group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the intervention group was given behavioral change model-oriented dietary nursing plus routine nursing.Dietary compliance, nutritional status,self-efficacy,self-care management ability and postoperative complications of the two groups were observed. Results The dietary compliance scores after intervention were significantly higher than before intervention in both groups, which were significantly higher in the intervention group than the control group(P<0.05).The nutritional status of both groups after intervention was significantly better than that before intervention, and significantly superior in the intervention group(P<0.05).The General Self-Efficacy Scale Score(GSES)and the Exercise of Self-care Agency Scale(ESC A)scores after intervention were significantly higher than those before intervention, which were significantly higher in the intervention group than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Behavioral change model oriented dietary nursing can improve the dietary compliance and nutritional status of patients after EVL,improve their self-efficacy and self-care management ability, and reduce postoperative complications.
