Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of low-frequency pulse electrotherapy on preventing urinary retention and promoting uterine recovery in parturients during vaginal delivery. Methods From January 2022 to October 2023,108 cases of vaginal delivery in obstetrics department of Suining Central Hospital were selected and randomly divided into the control group and observation group, with 54 cases per group.Parturient women in the control group received routine postpartum intervention, and those in the observation group received routine postpartum intervention plus low-frequency pulse electrotherapy. The pelvic floor muscle recovery, urinary retention prevention effect, uterine recovery effect and postpartum rehabilitation satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the electromyography values of pre-resting stage,post-resting stage, slow muscle and fast muscle at 7 days after delivery were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).In the observation group, the average urine flow rate(Qave)was significantly higher, and the post-void residual(PVR)at 3 days was significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of urinary retention in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(1.85%vs 12.96%,P<0.05).In the observation group, the descending heights of uterine floor at 24 h,48 h and 72 h after delivery were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the lochia volume was significantly higher(P<0.05).The satisfaction of postpartum rehabilitation in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(96.30%vs 83.33%,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of low-frequency pulse electrotherapy in parturients during vaginal delivery can effectively promote the recovery of pelvic floor muscle, urodynamics, effective recovery of uterus, and satisfaction of postpartum rehabilitation, and reduce the incidence of urinary retention.
